A Night at the Museum
Wearing is caring
the Suede RS 2.7
Launch night at the Porsche Museum
Porsche is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 together with Puma. We organized the community event for this occasion.
With a strictly limited special edition of the classic Puma Suede shoe, our long-standing partner Puma and sports car manufacturer Porsche are paying tribute to the legacy of a road and motorsport icon limited to 500 units — the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7. On the night before the official launch, we locked ourselves in the Porsche Museum with part of the community and took an in-depth look at the RS archive.
An iconic night with icons

Dave Surrace (Head of Design, Puma Motorsport) and Jörg Thilow (Porsche Museum Archive) hosted the brands and provided insights into the history of the two icons — not only in a panel discussion, but also live and up close, as the exclusive models were available for guests to experience that evening. Of course, the numerous other models in the exhibition were also included and admired during the night-time tour. Technical details, production refinements and the analogy to high-performance sports on both product sides were the focus of the event.
The launch was just as record-breaking as the records set by the two protagonists in sporting history. The sneakers sold out online in less than 24 hours — and the rush to the museum shop the following morning ensured that the remaining available models were also sold out before noon.
The Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 Limited Edition bears the iconic RS 2.7 lettering — just like the original Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 itself — making it the ultimate “shoe tribute” to this automotive icon. The sneakers are available in ten different colourways, which Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 customers could also choose from back then.
