Braking point, evasive manoeuvre, ideal line.

Time to get
back on track.

A Safety Driving Experience.

Back on track – starting this year, we will once again be putting our foot down in a controlled manner on the Porsche Experience Centre's home track at the Hockenheimring.

TRAX was born out of one idea: the capabilities of a classic Porsche cannot be fully appreciated by the driver on country roads, and certainly not when it is sitting in the garage. Its character comes to the fore where lines, load changes and braking points count. That's exactly why we created TRAX, and that's exactly where we're picking up again.

We developed TRAX for drivers who want to actively experience their car and are willing to engage with technology and driving techniques to master them perfectly when it really matters. For us, it's not about lap times or power comparisons, but about clean, controlled driving and personal development throughout the day. With the new edition, we are consistently continuing TRAX in this spirit and bringing the community together at one point. Proven processes meet new impulses; familiar faces meet new participants.

What makes TRAX special is the combination of structure, calm and the people who come together here. Clear procedures, learning modules and driving time, direct feedback from trained PEC.HHR instructors – and at the same time, no competition. No one must prove themselves here; everyone is allowed to develop through one-to-one coaching. After the events, one thing above everything else remains: the feeling of knowing your own vehicle better than before. How it feels when the front axle becomes lighter. How much confidence the rear axle really allows. Where restraint makes more sense than ambition. This understanding does not come from reading about it or watching others, but only where movement and attention come together.

This is exactly where TRAX comes in again. The new edition continues the format consistently: small groups, guided driving, plenty of time on the track and space for interaction with others in between.

When we organised TRAX for the first time in 2021, we were faced with a simple question: how can you get to know your vehicle better without taking risks on public roads and internalise its handling in such a way that you can recall it in a traffic situation? We needed to create an event that was more than just a drive, but significantly less risky than a track day or a ‘wild’ tourist drive, yet a little more precise than a general driver safety training course. In other words, an environment that carries motorsport genes, because this is what awaits you:

Little Monaco, steep curves, the long straight – the 2.8 km track at the Hockenheimring is tremendous fun. Your instructor leads the way in a factory-fresh GT model, followed by groups of four ‘oldies’ each. Close together – you need to trust your instructor when you're approaching a corner at full throttle and close together on the ideal line.

Pure thrills and something out of the ordinary with a classic car that was made for exactly that. Driving on a racetrack is in the DNA of these vehicles, and it is only under load that they show what they are capable of. For many participants, this was an important insight that brought ever-wider smiles to their faces. Knowing what a car that is almost 60, 50, 40 or 30 years old is still capable of, makes the bond between many of them even stronger.

They are proud of every millimetre of rubber they have lost from their tyres and of the satisfying crackling and puffing in the cylinders. Their confidence in their own cars has grown, and they can now look forward even more to early morning drives in the countryside, because they have practised changing lanes without braking, for example when a deer suddenly appears on the road. You can now also approach braking points and the ideal line on winding mountain roads with greater confidence because you have put your old Porsche through its paces here too.

We look forward to making this special form of driving possible again and working together with our participants on exactly what makes the difference in the end: the fine interplay between driver, machine and the moment on the track.
